CONSTRUCTION STARTS JANUARY 2012!
COMPLETION EXPECTED FALL 2012
Pier 5 will feature three outdoor multi-purpose recreation fields to play soccer and other team sports. These artificial turf fields will be available for play day and night. Pier 5’s perimeter will provide a continuous waterfront esplanade for strollers, river viewers, sports spectators, and people who want to fish.
On the landside of Pier 5, a Picnic Peninsula that is accessible from the main park promenade will include banquet-length picnic tables that can accommodate large and small groups, barbecues, a concession, and children’s play equipment.
