Main Street (Open)

This 4.8-acre park area features a popular nautically-themed playground and dog run in addition to rolling lawns and get-downs to the water’s edge to enjoy spectacular views.

Visitors to Main Street now have access to DUMBO's free wi-fi network!  DUMBO Wi-Fi is made possible by the collaboration of the DUMBO Business Improvement District, Two Trees Management Company and NYCwireless.  Read more.

 PLEASE NOTE:  As of October 12, 2011.  Brooklyn Bridge Park is undertaking an extensive and much-needed lawn rejuvenation program at the Main Street section of the park.

The main lawn will be closed through winter 2012 as we weed and aerate, complete an intensive seeding program and increase the nutrient content of the turf with organic compost teas.

When this lawn re-opens in Spring 2012, it will be a dog-free environment, as will all grass areas of the park, consistent with other sections of Brooklyn Bridge Park. Dogs are welcome at the Main Street dog run and on pathways and promenades.
