Support the Park
The idea of Brooklyn Bridge Park began over twenty years ago, born of the dedicated civic advocacy of many community members who saw the potential for a great urban waterfront park for Brooklyn. Without the tireless efforts of these pioneer volunteers, Brooklyn Bridge Park would not have been realized.
With the opening of the first sections of the park and as several park segments complete construction, Brooklyn Bridge Park continues to rely on its community advocates to help maintain and complete this remarkable 85-acre public amenity.
CALLING VOLUNTEERS TO JOIN THE PARKS GREETER CORPS!
Brooklyn Bridge Park is pleased to be participating in the New York City Parks Department's Park Greeter Corps program- a volunteer team of ambassadors to represent Parks in the community.
Volunteers will welcome patrons at entrances to the park, inform patrons of available amenities and programs, gauge the public’s opinion and interests, and serve as eyes and ears for the park’s condition and environment. Most importantly, they will be helping us keep the park safe, clean, and fun.
If you're interested in being a part of this great program, please visit http://nyc.gov/parks/greetercorps and sign up to volunteer your time this summer at the Brooklyn Bridge Park!
