$226 million in funding from the Port Authority of NY&NJ and the City of New York has enabled Brooklyn Bridge Park to move forward with an ambitious capital program and deliver a world-class waterfront park to the residents and visitors of the great Borough of Brooklyn. 2010 is an important year for Brooklyn Bridge Park, commencing with the opening of Pier 1 in March and Pier 6, opened in June. Construction continues on the site (see Park Phasing). For more images of the Brooklyn Bridge Park's construction process, visit our construction image gallery.
