Dog Runs
Brooklyn Bridge Park welcomes dogs and their owners. There are two dog runs in the park: at the Main Street section of the park (Adams Street and N/S Plymouth Street), and at Pier 6 adjacent to Atlantic Avenue. There are volunteer organizations of dog owners helping to maintain each of the dog runs. To become part of the Pier 6 dog run volunteer effort, please send an email to: pier6dogrun@gmail.com. To volunteer with the Main Street Dog Run, please send an email to: BBPDogRun@nyc.rr.com.
Dogs are required to be on-leash in all other areas of Brooklyn Bridge Park at all times.
- NYC law requires dogs to be on a leash 6 feet or shorter at all times, except in designated areas.
- Owners must be in control of their dogs at all times.
- Please dispose of dog waste properly.
- Dogs are never allowed in playgrounds, on lawns, or designated sports areas.
- Do not allow dogs to dig - holes create trip hazards.
- To protect wildlife habitats, dogs must always be leashed and stay on paths.
