Weekend Family Programs on Pier 6

All programs are free, no reservations necessary.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Puppet Making Workshop

Join us for puppet making this weekend! We’ll be making felt finger puppets as well as paper bag puppets. Make lions, sheep, birds, frogs or any other imaginary creation!

Flower Planting

We don’t all have space for gardens here in New York, but you can come to our workshop to create your own mini-garden! We’ll plant seeds in small pots and decorate our pots to match our creative visions!

Boats

The Waterfront Museum is coming to Brooklyn for us to explore and enjoy, so to celebrate we’ll be making boats out of paper plates and cardboard boxes!

Labor Day Weekend

Kite Making

We’ll embrace the changing season and fall breezes with a kite making workshop! Use simple materials like tissue paper to create a beautiful and functional kite (we’ll teach you to fold some paper planes too!)

Sand Castles
