Lou Cornacchia started her dance and teaching career in the early 1970s in Los Angeles, CA. She studied Theater and Dance at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1983, she relocated to New York where she continues to teach and educate people on the importance of Pilates and good health. After a long career as dance manager and teacher at Eastern Athletic Clubs, she opened her Pilates studio, Body in Balance, in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Her creative, energetic and caring approach to teaching Pilates has made her one of the best in her field and earned her a huge following throughout Brooklyn.
